My first ever blog post was a picture of my noble hound Piper (rip).
Here are some pics of his successor, Drummer. Picked up from Inverness-shire a month ago.
It is too early to say if he can hold a candle to his predecessor, but the signs are good.
There is no shortage of character, he is correctly put together, and will make a decent-sized hound, judging by his feet and ears.
Photo number two (not posed) suggests peg-dog quality on the shooting field is perhaps not beyond him.
A joyous addition to the Idle household.

Awww Look at him! Melty gorgeousness! Look out for your shoes everybody...
Splendid! He looks a fine hound, and would surely be improved by time spent with the Borstal dogs of Frome.
Should you just be just be up this way on the Bank Holiday weekend, we are hoping to meet up with Nick and Jane at the Batcombe Butlery. Else, sooner rather than later, I hope - we are in Ireland September 2nd to 19th, for a long overdue holiday, but apart from that can be found here in Fromeville
Drummer is from Inverness-shire, Majid, not Haiti. Or maybe you arrived at this site to discuss things other than 11-week-old labradors.
If he was from Haiti and sires the odd litter, perhaps I could change his name to Papa Dog.
Welcome back!
I thought that you had gone the way of too many members of my daily reading list.
And you've got a new puppy - excellent news!
Absolutely adorable. Congrats on being owned by a dog once more :)
Aww he is adorable!
I very much look forward to meeting the young fellow.
